Ultrasonic Non-Contact level/flow measurement has been in use around the world since 1970’s as witnessed by the popularity of these meters that continues unabated in virtually all sectors of industry. Anodyne together with SIEMENS presents the state of the art and most commonly used level/flow sensor, SITRANS PROBE LU for open channel application. SITRANS L non-contacting ultrasonic level products provide continuous monitoring of wet wells, flumes, and weirs with reliable level-to-flow calculations.

Overview

Electromagnetic Flowmeters are based on Faraday's Law of Electromagnetic Induction.

It is suitable for monitoring of level, flow and volume in storage vessels and simple process vessels, as well as in open channels. The range on the Probe LU is 6 or 12 meters (20 or 40 feet). It uses Auto False-Echo Suppression for fixed obstruction avoidance, and also boasts improved signal-to-noise ratio for improved accuracy to 0.15% of the range or 6mm (0.25"). The SITRANS Probe LU ultrasonic level transmitter uses the latest technology, with Sonic Intelligence signal processing strength, new echo processing features and the latest micro-processor and communications. The Probe LU level transmitter has two communication options: HART and PROFIBUS PA (Profile version 3.0, Class B).
