PM Analyzers Beta - Attenuation Based PM2.5, PM 10 Analyzer

The ADMS BAM automatically measures and records airborne particulate concentration and conforms to equivalent USEPA methods.

Partnered with Airpointer, we provide Beta – Ray Attenuation based PM analyzers, the most Accurate measurement technology. The small size and weight, ensures a user-friendly and quick installation as compared to the estimated time required for conventional analyzers. This analyzer can be installed in a wide variety of outdoor applications including among others public places, industrial sites, traffic sites, and meteorology, as well as in diverse environmental conditions.
However to follow Indian Gazette and MOEF, CPCB norms we provide the compact system in a 19” rack mount.

Overview

The ADMS BAM is manufactured using a time-proven design offering its users the highest level of reliability, performance and agreement with the FRM.

This design insures low maintenance and servicing costs, as well as minimal manpower requirements for its routine operation.

Technology

The BAM is controlled by an advanced microprocessor system that makes it fully automatic. At the beginning of the sampling period, beta ray transmission is measured across a clean section of filter tape.

This section of filter tape is then mechanically advanced to the sampling inlet. Particulate matter is then drawn into the sample inlet and deposited on the filter paper.

At the completion of the sampling period, the filter tape is returned to its original location and the beta ray transmission is re-measured. The difference between the two measurements is used to determine, with exceptional accuracy, the particulate con- centration.

The mass density is measured using the technique of beta attenuation. A small 14C beta source (60 μCi) is coupled to a sensitive detector that counts the emitted beta particles. The filter tape is placed between the beta source and the detector.

As the mass deposited on the filter tape increases, the measured beta particle count is reduced according to a known equation.

Application

Monitoring of Industrial Combustion, Construction sites

Ambient air quality with regard to health-harming substances also has to be considered on a small scale, because local microclimatic conditions may create an air quality considerably differing from a large-scale approach.

Traffic Monitoring

Apart from monitoring of gases and PM, the flexibility of ADMS BAM offers customization with add on sensors to measure metrological parameters.

Hot Spots and Indoors

The ease of operation makes the ADMS BAM a reliable measurement for PM monitoring at schools, public buildings, shopping malls, and airports (Indoor Air Quality / IAQ).

Mobile Operation

The compact design makes it the ideal tool for mobile operation. The complete setup can be quickly transported by car or trailer to the measurement site where it is needed.
