iDB Class 1& Class 2 Noise Monitor

The Turnkey® internet iDB provides remote on-site multichannel monitoring of noise with data logging and automatic alarms via email, text messaging, or a visual traffic light system. Alarm types and thresholds for vibration and noise are configured by the user and their thresholds can be set to depend on the time of day.

Overview

The iDB is the ideal monitor for monitoring sound and noise. iDB gives Class 1 performance over a 95 dB dynamic range, so 30 dB to 120 dB SPL is covered in a single range.

Uniquely, iDB measures both dB(A) and dB(C) frequency weightings simultaneously, with F or S time weightings. iDB also reports statistical values such as L10, L90 and Lmax in both dB(A) and dB(C) simultaneously. Other statistical sound indicators over arbitrary periods can be calculated within AirQWeb from the uploaded readings.

Technology

The Turnkey iDB uses C1000 microphone, a patented design which employs a rugged MEMS (Microelectromechanical System) sensing element which has a linear response to 130 dB SPL, extended low frequency response down to 6 Hz (-3 dB), dynamic range of 99 dB, and less than 31 dBA of self-noise.

The C 1000 microphone uses an acoustic sensor, made from silicon wafers based on semiconductor production lines.

The iDB like other analyzersconnects to Turnkey’s AirQWeb cloud server. This allows integrated monitoring and control of noise, vibration, dust, meteorology, and air quality on your site. 

Along with Noise data a 3D site mapping with 3D imagery, live readings and site placements shown on Google Earth. This feature is available both for PC and mobile device.

iDB has an internal NiMH rechargeable battery that allows continued operation and recording in the event of a site power outage. Measurements taken during power outages are automatically uploaded to AirQWeb when site power returns.

The iDB can be supplied in a Peli case, which makes is easy to store and transport for portable application.
